After 10 years of Adult and Young Adult boxes, OUABC subscriptions are getting a refresh!

Our Adult and Young Adult boxes have been an amazing journey over the past decade, and our team has loved being able to bring over 250 titles to life through these monthly experiences! But like all good things, change is inevitable and we are so excited to be bringing new experiences to our subscribers starting in January!

Adult will become the Fiction Box! These boxes will be returning to the root of what made so many readers fall in love with OUABC! Boxes will include newly released adult novels in genres such as historical fiction, thriller, contemporary, mystery, and romance. If you love realistic fiction, this is the box for you!

Young Adult is unfortunately at the end of it's time with us and we're so sad to say goodbye! However, we are so excited to share that to take its place will be the Fantastical Box! These boxes will feature newly released adult novels in genres such as fantasy, sci-fi, dystopian, magical realism, and paranormal romance. If you love magical fiction, this is the box for you!

We hope that these new editions of our boxes will help our readers to feel confident in their time as a subscriber, allowing you to know which genres you may receive from us each month. Our boxes have plenty of mystery already with our surprise gifts to be opened as you read, so we think this change will keep the mystery, but ensure this box contains a book you're truly excited to add to your shelves!

Quick Questions:

Do I need to do anything to ensure I'm switched to these new boxes?
Nope! Adult subscribers will automatically be moved to the Fiction box and Young Adult subscribers will automatically be moved to the Fantastical box on December 15th when the first hints are revealed.

Is there an additional cost for this change?
No! Boxes are still $49.99 per month plus shipping. The price is not changing with these new boxes.

When will these new boxes ship?
Our shipping window is not changing. Our monthly boxes will always be on sale from the 15th through the 14th of the next month and the boxes ordered during this window will ship at the end of the month. The first Fiction and Fantastical hints will be announced on December 15th and will be shipped at the end of January!

What happens if I don't like a hint for one of the boxes?
As always, you can skip or switch your box each month by emailing our customer service team at info@onceuponabookclub.com. Subscribers are allowed up to 2 skips in a row (requiring you to either receive the 3rd box or cancel your subscription to open your spot for someone else), or switch between the Fiction and Fantastical boxes each month depending on which one speaks to you!

I subscribe to Young Adult for my teenager. What can I buy for them instead?
Unfortunately, Young Adult boxes will no longer be offered as a monthly subscription. We will feature occasional Young Adult titles in our Pre-Orders, Mini boxes, and Lite boxes, but Young Adult will no longer be offered as a subscription option.

Can I get both the Fiction and Fantastical boxes?
Our bundles will still be available for these new boxes! You'll be able to purchase the Fiction & Fantastical Bundle for a slight discount which is perfect if you're a fan of both types of books or if you want to split the subscription with a friend or relative!
