Tween Book Boxes

The Tween Subscription box began in February of 2023 originally marketed as Middle Grade. This was a box that the Once Upon a Book Club team had been interested in bringing to fruition for several years, and is one we were very excited to finally to share the experience of books coming to life for younger readers!

In May of 2024, Middle Grade transitioned to Tween; a bi-monthly reading experience for readers ages 9-12, though many of our Tween subscription boxes can be enjoyed by readers of all ages! These boxes include a variety of genres that feature characters of varying genders, races, and ethnicities in order to allow young bookworms the chance to see themselves in our featured selections. We also are so proud to offer book selections that vary on a monthly basis to not only keep young readers engaged and surprised as to what they might find in their next box, but also to push them out of their comfort zones and allow them to try a book they may have never picked up!

Our Tween Book Boxes include books from a vast array of genres, including:
- Contemporary
- Fantasy
- Sci-Fi
- Mystery
- Adventure
- Magical Realism
- Suspense
- And many more!

The books and gifts for our Tween book boxes are meant to be enjoyed by all readers between the ages of 9-12, though we admit our curation team of adults have very much enjoyed all our selections so much, they've been eager to share them with their own children. Tween boxes include 3-5 gifts per box and the gifts are regularly usable, entertaining, and interactive items that help your young reader to be engaged in the material and make connections to the characters even after the book is over.
