2026 is our tenth year and it's off to an incredible start! However, as with most things, the shipping costs associated with our boxes have continued to increase. To ensure that we are able to continue to create beautiful reading experience for our Book Clubbers, we are adjusting our prices to ensure the quality our customers expect from us remains sustainable.

So what's changing?

- Our base subscription price will now be $49.99 per month ($10 decrease)! For current subscribers, this change will take effect with your June 25th renewal. Shipping per month will be consistent and will be prefaced with an announcement to active subscribers before any changes are made.

- Multi-month subscribers will not see this change take effect until your next paid renewal.

- Ready-to-ship shop box prices will be lowered! ($5-$10 decrease per box)

- Current pre-orders (Summer Thrills, The Great Gatsby, Nightmares Halloween, and Magic Halloween) will continue to be offered at the free shipping rate as advertised. Once these pre-orders become ready-to-ship from our warehouse, their prices and shipping rates will be adjusted accordingly. Future pre-orders will follow the new shipping rates.

- All domestic shipping rates will now be calculated at checkout based on order weight/location. In many cases, purchasing more will result in lower per-product shipping costs as many items can be combined. Shipping costs will be paid at the time of purchase.

International orders are picked up at the beginning of each month. Please note that your tracking label may be printed up to one week before your parcel shows movement. Please note that international shipping does not guarantee an arrival by specific holidays or events.

Beginning March 3rd, 2026, due to the evolving situation in the Middle East, deliveries are currently being restricted and orders are unable to be fulfilled to the following countries: Afghanistan, Bahrain, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. Once normal delivery operations become accessible again, shipping will resume to these locations.

Beginning September 10th, 2025, Once Upon a Book Club is thrilled to share that we are now shipping to the United Kingdom. This includes subscriptions, shop boxes, books, and all other items on our website. UK Shipping rates do vary based on the product purchased and these rates are calculated at checkout.

After three wonderful years of curating boxes for young readers, we have come to the difficult decision to close our Once Upon a Book Club Tween subscription permanently on May 5th, 2026.

Active subscribers will be renewed for the final box by April 15th. This will be the final charge Tween subscribers will receive in relation to the Tween subscription. Subscriptions will be cancelled by May 31st, 2026 and no additional charges will be processed. Any additional funds within your account after this renewal can either be transferred to an Adult or Young Adult subscription by emailing customer service, or will automatically be refunded to the original payment method by May 31st, 2026.
