About the Book

Before time etched its mark on the world, there were the gods. Before the gods, the primordial earth, the celestial spheres, and air breathed life. Cast out to the world’s extremities, the Anemoi—Four Winds—whisper their ancient exile.

Brielle of Thornbrook has devoted her life to the hallowed halls of the abbey. With each day spent hammering iron and poring over the sacred Texts, she edges closer to her destiny as an acolyte, a guardian of the Faith. In her twenty-one years, the touch of man has never known her skin, nor shall it ever.

Yet beyond the towering barriers of Thornbrook, shadows stir. A serendipitous meeting with a mysterious figure drags Brielle into the depths of Under, a realm where decay fills the air and darkness taints the soil. Here, she meets Zephyrus, the Bringer of Spring, his eyes a piercing green, promising new beginnings.

In the murky shadows of Under, allies are scarce, and trust in Zephyrus is scarcer still. Yet, no man has ever captivated her as he does. As Brielle's faith clashes with her heart, she learns how swiftly her most sacred promises can fray. Her vow to never forsake the Father—He of the Kingdom, Power, and Glory—threatens to unravel in the face of forbidden desire.

The saga of the Four Winds unfurls further in this haunting retelling of the ancient Scottish ballad, Tam Lin, where forbidden love challenges the very fabric of the divine.

The paper was lower quality than the first book. The pages weren't as thick. But overall I love the book and its beautiful. Came two days earlier than expected!
