Once Upon a Book Club: Where Every Day is Book Lovers Day
At Once Upon a Book Club, we celebrate the magic of books every day. But some days are just more special than others. We know that so many of you are always looking forward to our amazing book box delivery – it’s like having a birthday every month. And in August, there are two incredible bookish days. OUABC delivery day and Book Lover’s Day on August 9th. It’s on a Friday—perhaps a long weekend is calling!
August 9th warms the hearts of bibliophiles everywhere—it’s our equivalent to Valentine’s Day! It’s a day dedicated to the joy of reading, the thrill of discovering new worlds, and the comfort of curling up with a good book.
Whether you're a fan of epic fantasies, spine-chilling mysteries, heartwarming romances, or thought-provoking historical fiction, Book Lovers Day is the perfect excuse to indulge in your literary passions. So, grab your latest book, a cozy spot, and let’s celebrate!
In honor of this fabulous day, we thought we would give you a glimpse into why we adore books, where we enjoy reading, and who our favorite authors are.
Why We Love Books
- Sydney: For me, books are a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There's nothing quite like getting lost in a story to unwind and relax.
- Logan: Logan sees books as cozy objects that make a house feel like home. They are windows into lives and worlds that she would never otherwise experience, making each book a new adventure.
- Tristan: For Tristan, books are the ultimate way to alleviate anxiety and stress. They provide a way to travel and explore new places without ever leaving home.
- Teri: Books offer Teri a fantastic way to travel to new places and learn about different people, all from the comfort of her couch!
- Tiffany: Tiffany loves books because they help her cope with anxiety. The stories provide solace and a much-needed break from the pressures of daily life.
- Nicole: Books are Nicole's favorite form of escape and a hobby she shares with her mom.

- Sydney: You can find me by the pool or nestled in a comfy chair with a blanket, enjoying my latest read. Don’t be jealous of my towel - our boutique has plenty in stock!
- Logan: Logan's home library is the perfect sanctuary for diving into a new book.
- Tristan: Tristan loves to read anywhere quiet, where the only sound she hears is the turning of pages.
- Teri: Teri enjoys reading on her couch, often with a cat in her lap, or before bed—sometimes staying up too late to finish just a few more chapters.
- Tiffany: Tiffany's favorite spot to read is her couch in the loft, where she can fully immerse herself in her book.
- Nicole: Nicole loves to read in bed, on a window seat, or even in a tree, surrounded by nature and her favorite stories.
