Here at Once Upon a Book Club, World Book Day is not just about celebrating the books we love; it’s one of those days when we can share our passion for reading with others.
When you think of World Book Day, take a moment to think of the millions of stories that are just waiting to be discovered. We couldn’t help but research how many books there are in the world, and the number is … drum roll … 158,464,880 unique books in the world as of 2023! UNESCO estimates that 2.2 million books are published every year.
We can’t think of a better way to celebrate World Book Day than by spreading the love for reading through bookish acts of kindness! An act of bookish kindness could just be the start of a new chapter in someone else’s literary adventure.
