• The kettle can only be used on the included base. Do not try to use the kettle on the base of any other products, or try heating any other product on this base.
• Do not use the connector between the kettle and the base as a switch. Please use the power switch.
• When filling water, do not fill past max fill level to prevent steam or hot water from ejecting or overflowing out of the kettle nozzle.
• When on, the metal surface of the kettle will be hot. Please take care when handling.

INSTRUCTIONS:

When using the kettle for the first time, or if it has not been used in a long time, fill the kettle with clean water to the max fill level, boil the water once or twice, then empty the water. This will clean the kettle for use.

1. Remove the kettle from the power base, open the lid, and fill with clean water (do not exceed the max fill level).
2. Close the kettle lid and put it back on the power base, making sure it has full contact to the base plate.
3. Plug in the power cable and turn on the switch to start heating. The indicator light will come on.
4. Once water is boiling, you can lift the kettle from the base and pour directly using the kettle.
5. If you would like to switch to heat preservation mode, you can activate the switch and the indicator light will turn on.

CLEANING THE KETTLE

• DO NOT submerge the kettle in water.
• Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool down fully before cleaning.
• DO NOT pour water directly on the base to clean or submerge the base in water.
• DO NOT use steel wool or detergents (chemical or powder) to clean the kettle
• The outside of the kettle can be wiped down with a damp cloth.
• DO NOT put the kettle or any parts in the dishwasher.

DEEP CLEANING/DESCALING

1. Fill the kettle with 2 cups of white vinegar and soak the kettle for ~1 hour.
2. Empty the kettle and use a damp cloth to wipe out the kettle.
3. Fill the kettle with water and heat to boiling.
4. Pour out the heated water, then rinse the kettle out with clean water.
5. Remove the filter screen and lightly rinse with clean water. You can scrub the filter with a soft brush (no metal brushes or steel wool). After drying, return the filter to the mouth of the kettle.
